FAQ
I. Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?
Depends on project, but 9 out of 10 times if I'm traveling out of state - travel expenses will need to be covered.
II. What if we want something more extreme (hiking, diving, drone, etc)?
I have the capability to cover most things. As long as I wouldn't be put at risk for any problems I will be able to capture what is needed. If anything is beyond my capabilities I can always bring on more crew (budget permitting).
III. Do you have a flat rate?
Not really. It depends on the project and the budget. There are a lot of variables. For example, let's say a person has a $200 budget and they just want a couple photos of their dog to post on facebook vs. Petco has a $3,500 budget and they want pictures of multiple dogs to launch their new marketing campaign. Both are similar projects, but with 2 different scopes. Both I can do, but will have a different time commitment. Both are of dogs, but one may use rented lights/studio space/an assistant/etc. Or one may be for fun and one is for profit.
I do have ballpark figures but there's a lot to consider. Therefore I rather discuss this on a case-by-case basis, so that I can meet your needs while making sure my needs are met in return.
IV. How long does it take to receive the finished product? What's your turnaround time?
I try to have a faster turnaround time than average, so I aim to finish edits within 1-5 days. If I have a busier than usual schedule then it could be 4-6 weeks, depending on the project. However, historically, I've never had anything be outstanding past 4-6 weeks (including any client-requested revisions).
V. What is the process like from the initial meeting to finished product?
1. I hear out your needs/idea/project
2. I give feedback on what will be needed and a timeline for things to be completed
3. Essentially, there will be a pre-planning stage and after that is completed we will start production
4. Depending on the project and client (New vs. Returning client), I may require a deposit and/or full pay before production
5. Production
6. Post production (Gathering of everything from the production phase, and editing)
7. Review (Review by me and then the client)
8. Revisions (If Necessary)
9. Submission of finished product to client (Watermarked proofs, if outstanding balance remaining)
10. Finalization (Closing discussion with client to make sure everything has been received and is in order, and sending of receipts or receiving final portion of payment [if applicable])
